Cardiff-based Ticketline (UK) placed into liquidation


Customers with outstanding tickets from Ticketline (UK) could miss out as the company is placed into liquidation.Insolvency firm CVR Global has been called in after the company, based on Westgate Street, Cardiff, suffered a downturn in trade.Customers who paid on credit card have been told to contact their credit provider to ask for a refund.Others were told to contact attractions directly to see if their booking will be honoured out of good will.Ticketline (UK) is distinct from the larger company Ticketline which is a separate business. All of the company’s staff have been made redundant and all customers with outstanding orders have been contacted.The company provides tickets for live shows, sporting events and day trips. Cardiff Castle said anyone who booked tickets for its Santa’s Grotto via the company would have their ticket honoured, but only if they print it out.Elias Paourou from CVR Global said: “Unfortunately due to the increasingly competitive market of the ticketing industry, Ticket Line (UK) Limited could no longer continue trading.”We are now in the process of trying to find a potential buyer in the best interests of the company’s 2,000 customers. “We are working with various attractions to establish if they will honour pre-paid tickets as a good will gesture, and would urge customers to contact the attraction provider directly to establish whether their tickets will be honoured.”Customers who have paid for their tickets by credit card are advised to contact their credit card provider to establish if they are eligible for a refund.”
